The writing style of twilight sounds like fanfiction written by a 10 year old for 10 year olds. Also, my most wtf on twilight:....Werewolves? Seriously? When did this become underworld!? And than theres the sparkling thing, because in no other vampire lore does it say that sunlight burns them.

Well, with writing about vampires, you begin to have a need for an antagonist/protagonist (depending on book). The most common creature to be used as opposition is the werewolf.
On the other hand, the "werewolves" that are in New Moon are more like dogs than wolves. In fact, she even brings the mention of actual werewolves into the novel. That to me is just pathetic. It was as if she can't create a real werewolf, because it would be too wild for her story. So she tamed it like she did the vampires. Which is why they only sparkle.

I think she was making a pathetic attempt to be original with the part about sparkling skin o.o...
Because hell, it doesn't HAVE to be the same old thing.

Ya but it kills so much of the Vampire spirit, if youth novels like Cirque Du Freak can stay true to vampire lore and still spin it than her morman ass should be able to do the same.

Not really... I love reading different vampire books and seeing the person's perspective on vampires. They're all different in some way. If they were all the same, well, that would be boring.

But glitter skin completely undermines the nature!

Yeah, glitter skin is just plain weird. I'm not saying THAT'S good. I'm just saying, the vampires don't have to burn up and die.

Omg, that series is just horrible. Like 5 girls did book reports on it last year..

Book reports? On those? Lol...my friend dustin read that last year. I think he did it just so girls would think of him as more feminent. He also wears tight girl jeans (as in he buys them in the womens section)

Oh yeah, I read the first book during the summer before or after 4th grade.
I got so pissed whenever someone did a book report on that. Lilly, remember how many book reports were on the Clique? Like, 3 per month.
Yeah, the Uglies trilogy gets really boring after the first book.

I dont like harry potter. I mean ya it helped me learn to read but i hate it when people act like their smart when they're reading a 700 page large print book, and im reading a 200 page small print one like one flew over the cuckoos nest or Brave New World. Your not intellegent for being able to read at the same level as a 4th grader.

Okay. The point is not to look impressive. It's to read. Why does everyone think only attention grabbers and smart-ass "nerds" read Harry Potter?

No im not saying everyone does, im just saying that in my county a number of kids will come up to me and go "Im READING A THICKER BOOK THAN YUUUUU!"
