I am in need of assistance...

I seem to be stuck with animating Banned Story With Sony Vegas..

Is it that i have Sony Vegas 7? or is it that im just stupid and cant do anything?

Anways, i need a guide to help me animate. Ive been wanting to animate my story (The Prophecy - Written in OLD forums) >.<.

well, first question, do you screen record your movements? o.O

Absolutely not. o o Screen recording's the noob way. (Though it's easier, any blue in the char's gonna be effed up if you're greenscreening. And it's bad quality. lul.) Photoshop to make .gifs then put them into vegas. >:

Well no, not really. It's just better quality and not laggy/doesn't skip around. Iunno what essentials does, but if there's an animation option, then you can use it. (In mine you look at the bar thingy under Windows then clickie animation, dunno if yours has it though)

Otherwise, you can screenrecord your character doing whatever with a pure green/blue/red background in bannedstory, then put it into vegas then use the Chroma Keyer fx and messing around with the low thresh hold until the color's transparent. o-o

Then in another layer's the map. o: It looks a lot better that way rather than screen recording the char doing something on the map in bannedstory. Though it's more difficult to pan and zoom them to look like they're both on the same layer. o-o

;_; The recorders usually end up screwing up and then covering it with a blank annotation.

Not that that looks any better than just leaving it be.

Go to the bar thing on top and go to 'windows' then click 'animation.'

okay i am really gettting pissed off....when ever i put the pics to try to animate it, it always starts new layers...the pics only stay one layer...i dont know what to do and i feel like quitting trying to animate it.

So, just drag in your pictures, then make sure they're all in place that you want the animation to be. Like, if you're making the person walk, one frame he's in one spot, then the next he's slightly forward. But when you put them into keyframes in the animation window, make sure that only one frame is visible at a time. >:

only thing is that it looks choppy. anyway to fix that?

don't move it that far away, maybe a few pixels in the direction you want it to go. It might take a while, but in the end it looks a lot better.

okay, now heres another problem. Im trying to make someone walk. I put them perfectly in one row, but when i press play, some layers start jumping around. o.e.how do i fix that? :O.

I think that's cause you made frames before you lined them up... and then now I think you have to go back and line them up. Actually, that's only happened a couple of times when I started using Photoshop.
I don't know. I line them up and then make frames.
